A lighting house working in washi and turned brass.
Origin
Founded in Bunkyō in 1968 as a shade-maker, and now designing complete fittings alongside the workshops whose paper it has used from the beginning. Its own designs and theirs sit in the same catalogue, credited separately.
In the workshop
Shades are formed over wooden moulds and finished by hand. Brass components are turned in-house and left unlacquered, so the surface moves over the first year and then settles.

Washi, turned brass, uzukuri-finished timber.
